Ducato /Talbot Express fuel filler hose repair Tina the Fiat is now incontinent! When I fill her up she leaves a puddle behind on the forecourt. The hose that joins the last section of steel pipe from the fuel filler to the tank inlet has a tiny split in the seam. Not even worth asking Fiat! Off to the local scrap yard, found that a Peugeot 205 diesel none turbo air inlet pipe is almost the same diameter but too long, this pipe runs from the front of the engine to the inlet manifold. If you remove it, the first bend at the front is almost the correct profile, cut this section out soak in two bukets of boiling water to soften it and it will go on, so fixed for free as the scrap man didnt charge me for it! ---------------------- |

Fit the proper pipe and be safe Thats a good point, we thought that, so we cleaned it in petrol and then left it overnight soaking and it was fine. Thing is you cant buy the proper pipe, so its make do and mend time. I will keep an eye on it. ---------------------- |
